Volume Loss
As the face loses volume over time, areas such as the cheeks, temples, and under-eye region can begin to appear hollow, flattened, or less defined. This is a natural part of the aging process and is often influenced by a gradual reduction in collagen, fat, and overall structural support within the skin.
At Advanced Skin and Body Solutions in Bellevue, we offer non-surgical treatment options designed to restore facial structure and improve overall facial balance for a more refreshed, youthful appearance. Treatment plans are tailored to your individual anatomy, concerns, and aesthetic goals.

What is Volume Loss?
The face is made up of several layers, including skin, fat pads, muscle, and bone. Over time, changes in these layers contribute to shifts in facial structure. Fat pads can thin and shift position, bone density gradually decreases, and soft tissue loses support, resulting in changes to facial contours even when the skin itself remains in good condition.
Volume loss is not always related to aging alone. Significant weight changes, genetics, certain medications, and medical conditions can also contribute. It typically becomes most noticeable in areas such as the cheeks, temples, and under-eye region, where it can create a hollowed, shadowed, or less lifted appearance.
Non-surgical injectable treatments can help restore lost volume in targeted areas to rebalance facial proportions and provide support to the overlying skin. Treatment is always individualized based on the areas affected, the degree of volume loss, and the patient’s aesthetic goals.
