Rosacea
For some individuals, especially those with rosacea or naturally reactive skin, redness can gradually return over time. This is often due to ongoing internal and external triggers such as sun exposure, heat, alcohol, stress, and certain foods that continue to stimulate blood vessel activity in the skin.
While treatment can significantly reduce visible redness, it does not remove the underlying tendency for the skin to react. For this reason, maintenance treatments along with consistent daily sun protection are important to help manage results and keep redness under control long term.

What is Rosacea?
Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that primarily affects the face, leading to persistent redness, visible blood vessels, flushing, and in some cases, acne-like bumps. It most commonly appears on the cheeks, nose, chin, and forehead, and typically develops in adults between the ages of 30 and 50, although it can affect people at any stage of life.
The exact cause of rosacea is not fully understood, but a combination of genetic and environmental factors is believed to play a role. Common triggers include sun exposure, heat, alcohol, spicy foods, stress, and certain skincare products, all of which can lead to flare-ups. Over time, symptoms may become more frequent or persistent without proper management.
While rosacea cannot be permanently cured, it can be effectively managed. IPL therapy is widely used to reduce visible redness and target superficial blood vessels, helping to improve overall skin clarity without damaging surrounding tissue. Although it does not eliminate the underlying condition, it can significantly reduce the appearance and frequency of flare-ups.
